I told this front desk guy at shipping company I'm trying out not to call me sir and my first name is fine, even told him my preferred name, but he is still calling me sir [dead last-name] and I've had it, I need a shipper that delivers and has more respect for their customers.

As much as I love the #dune films, and been a fan of Timothée Chalamet from the "Call me by your name" days, I still think casting a white actor to play Paul was a mistake. The optics of an entire black and brown culture looking to a white man to be their savior is poor to say the least.

So server admin stuff. Running a #Mastodon server is actually not a pleasant experience. Mine has been taking up a lot of storage space, and I don't know why it is so inefficient. My #bluesky personal data server literally only takes up megabytes

Every picture of AI food triggers a feeling of unsettled disgust in me akin to trypophobia. And I just don’t understand. If you actually cook the food just take a picture of it. Even 90s CCTV footage would be better.

When I first heard about AI being used for menus and advertisements, my concern was largely that it would be used to idealize the food and make it look better than it actually was.

At no point did I imagine that restaurants would willingly put out horrific looking images of their food on purpose
